Once a month, the Billiards Group will be giving away a cue stick during the Mentoring sessions. A number will be drawn, and if it matches your sign-in number, you’re a winner.
Two qualifications … you must be a member of the Billiards Group and you cannot already own a cue stick.
March 1st, the Inaugural Cue Stick Giveaway went to Joan Anderson.
April 5th and during the second session, Club President Dante Jannicelli presents Nora Charles with the Second Cue Stick Giveaway
The Third Cue Stick Giveaway, on May 3rd, goes to …

And June 3rd, our lucky winner, Cathy Razumich, received her prize from Mentoring Director Dave Polvi.
The July 5th winner had to battle fellow players as our giveaway format changed. Players had to lag to win. Susan Voight won the lag competition.
Our August 2nd Giveaway took 3 rounds to crown a winner. Nine players started round one, eliminating 4 players. Five players in round 2 got reduced to the final 2, for the last round. Dan Lehrer, July’s runner up, was back … and looking to take the prize. But challenger Liz Wilmes was not backing down.
The pre-match stare down …
Dan emerged victorious.
On Tuesday, September 6th, our Cue Stick Givaway was a hotly contested trial between four players. Tournament Director Dave Polvi created a game where each player had to sink three balls. The winner would be the contestant that accomplished that in the fewest strokes. The first three players were tied at four shots. The final contestant, Shirley Rasuscher, stepped up and, under intense pressure, sank the three balls in three strokes and won.
Congratulations, Shirley!
October’s Cue Stick Giveaway saw the competition continuing to ratchet up. Dave tasked the players a three-ball contest. Peter Park survived the first round to take the ultimate prize in Round Two.
Notice Peter’s competition on the right side. Miles Rodgers. He finished second … wait til next month.
And here he is again. Miles captures the top prize in November.
And the last Cue Stick Giveaway for 2022 goes to … drumroll, please … Cathy Goebels. Congratulations, Kathy!
