Sign-up Procedure
Sign-up sheets are available every Wednesday for up to two weeks in advance in the Co-ed binder. The first 12 couples listed on the advance sign-up sheet must be in attendance and have a play number by 4:10 PM. If vacancies occur at that point, the standby players are given priority in the order of the advance sign-up sheet. Play begins at 4:15 PM.

Tournament Rules
The Tournament follows the American Pool Players Association (APA) rules. Exception is play is stopped when the 16-minute clock expires.

Each couple gets a play number upon sign up on the Tournament day. The Tournament Leader, or number caller, calls the numbers for the couples at each table. If there is an uneven number of couples, there will be a bye for most teams. Six rounds of play will take place to ensure each team plays at least five games.

Teams lag for the break. The winner of the lag then breaks. If it is not a legal break, the opposing team will then break. If there is a scratch on the break, the opposing player will initiate play with a ball-in-hand from the kitchen.

The games are limited to 16 minutes of play. The leader will call “stop play” when time has expired. When time is called, the ball must be in motion for it to count.

When time is called, if there are balls still on the table, the team with the fewest balls on the table wins. If there are the same number of balls left on the table for each team, a winner is determined by a lag.

The winners of the game mark the results on the score sheet and the losers will rack the balls for the next round. Everyone needs to check the score sheet at times to make sure it is accurate.

Tournament winner will be determined by the highest winning percentage. In case of an equal number of wins, the winner will be the team with the lowest number of loses (higher percentage).

Recognition
At the end of the tournament, the Tournament Leader calculates the tournament winners and takes their photo. The photo and information on the number of players will be sent out to the webmaster as well as the elected board. The photos will be placed on the Billiards website.
